Near Lac Sequin Friday Aug 14. Ranny & Tommy and I encamped a camp. Took some photos and shot some birds, lizards, taking a few mammals. A bank of Yellowrumps & blackpolls seen, and some arctic foxes. A birch 5 inches in diameter had 65 annual rings. Rakes (rush very) put fairly. Spirning Crotonia spp. and crotonia nearby so. Rubes chamae-rosa abundant fallen. Viburnum noted in the woods near camp. Capanedel & Chamomilin and the 3rd common ferns common on the rocky hills Saturday August Took away continuance in my traps. Took a number of photos. I saw big country, about middle of formation of storm signs. Cleaning so I made a start. I crossed that end of the same lake on which we were camped out. Portaged about 175 paces into another lake. I saw some shapes The field which we entered was about 1/2 mile long & 3/4 less than a mile wide. Micro- [illegible] I want to make it diagonally in.
