June 2. Took a good catch
2 mammals. Peromypcus
Eostomp & Sorex. The Eost-
omp measure larger than
those taken near Chippewym
We put in the afternoon looking
after our traps and shooting
birds and secured several,
Including Tyrannus tyrannus,
Louisiana Tanagers, Canada
Nuthatche, a pair of Nudomen
Chickadees, White-should出
Will, Tennessee Walslee etc.
Found the nest of the Nudomen
Chickadees and will try to
Preserve it entire in the moon.
In the afternoon we stemmed
up all our specimens nearly 40
and set out more traps in-
cluding some steel traps
Took a pair of yellowbelled Wod
pickers the first seen since
leaving the Henry's timbered valley
of the Athabasca.
June 3. Took about 25 mammals
Eostomp, Peromypcus Sorex &
Searious and shot a few birds,
Tyrannus, Dindraica vtrmns. Empbus
fluvivictrix etc. The egg nest
of Parus contained 4 young
and two eggs on the point ?
Hatching. and as we had shot
the birds we preserved the
young in formalin. A strong
Cold wind from the north
blew all day and made col-
lecting very difficult.
June 4 Took a fair catch of
Sorex, Peromypcus & Eostomp,
and shot a few birds. Wind
very high and cold and collect-
my difficult. Spent an hour or
two in the marsh and took Ayglains
Seirious worboraecesis. Found
a nest of avamp sperson contain
my 5 egg. It was will a tuuscket
of grass over the water. Reset
many of our traps my brother
shot another Black throa warbler
Ish was unable to send it
