The woods on Sugarloaf Mt. are composed almost
wholly of oak and chestnut. No conifers
are found at all
The hickory does
form thickets at
places especially
along the small
streams. The Mt.
is not well defined
in its limits. It being
up-hill nearly all
the way from Con

place was about 3
miles from Confluece
and excursions were
made from there to
the top of the Mt.
3 or 4 miles further
