8 Calocampa einitta. Homoptera minerea. Eggs laid on maple and will ow May 29. Flattened finely not-deeply ribbed dark oblong egg Blue. Hatched June .7 A.m. First Stage Dark rather dirty green. The 7 postclytric legs dorsally and distally reddish 3.54. dirty yellow. A broad calcaral dirty whitish band. Ventral p. dirty reddish lead light brown with a few hairs and ventral continuous dark lateral dots. Body covered sparsely w. fine black set. Tubercles bristly, very blunt straight hairs. Legs and protop legs light straw color Second Stage. June 11. Dull Mackin green. Sub dorsal region of the 9 post zys dull reddish (glass) and indistinct. Light calcaral & 2 odorsal, and a darker dorsal line. Black points as before - Head whitish hairy. L. 15 mm. Third stage June 14. Somewhat darker than before Else 2am. 19mm 4th stage June 19.
