Body mottled greenish gray; a black sup. stigm. band and a more or less broken dorsal black band more conspicuous in the last 3 segments. Stigmata yellow. Prolegs shining brown head shining dull brownish.
On Segm. I: A subdorsal long tuft, of elevated black scale hairs and a similar dorsal tuft on seg. II gray smoky at base. Also similar lateral tufts on 12.
A subdorsal and subcentral row of greyish tufts
Each subdorsal tuft- with a central band projecting conspicuous. A sup. stigm. row of smaller tufts, fringed w. elevated scale hairs. A sub dorsal row of tufts on segments 4-7 fused with soas to form a large wavy smoky dorsal tuft, fringed with short elevated clear white scale hairs, esp. at outer edges on segs. 2-3 and 8-10 Vn s.d. Scale tufts are largely composed of the same clear white scale hairs, with a few projecting projections. A segment 9-10 a simple curved glandular cylindrical body
