Dear Mr.Weatherby:
Otto Degener of Honolulu sent
the Topping book via Mrs.Merrill,and asked that
it be placed in the Gray Herbarium. As I acquired
from Degener a reasonably representative set of
Topping's ferns which eventually will find their
places in the Gray Herbarium,it seems that its
library is the proper place for Topping's lists
and account of his Kina Balu trip.
