Koford 1955 Journal February 18, 1955 Nr. Ft. Collins, Colo. Snowing all day. 10°-20° F. Snow about 5" deep. Feb. 19 Overcast, Snowed lightly. Cold. Feb. 20. Nearly clear but cold wind. Snow windpecked. Feb. 21 Cold wind & 1/5 overcast (cirrus). Below freezing all day. Visited Spring Canyon Dam. Cynomyz colony twice. Feb. 22. Clear a.m., overcast p.m. Cool but sunny until 2 p.m. Trapped 1 Cynomyz ludovicianus. Reset some of 10 traps out & put out 4 additional. Claimed trapped one. Feb. 23. Lightly snowing but occas. sunshine and temperature to 30° C. Visited Cynomyz colony. Trooper of one. Feb. 24. Clear, calm, but cold, & 2" snow on ground, 6° F. at 8 a.m. Visited Cynomyz colony & watched from 8:45—noon. Fairly sun tocks ward at this colony. February 25. Watched Cynomyz colony 9:30-11:30. Trapped 0712. Thin clouds; sunny & warm for season. Much melting of snow. Claimed 0712. February 26. Status overcast & temp. about freezing. Shot visit to same Cynomyz colony. February 27. Status cloudy; hoar frost; a few snowflakes. Cleared up noon & then warm (46° F.). Visited Cynomyz col- ony & took 0713 from trap. February 28, 1955. Office work. Clear & warm wind in after- noon. Traps held 4 Cynomyz including large #2. Set 2 additional traps. Claimed specimens. March, 1955 Larimer & Weld Cos., Colo. Drove to Wellington & photographed Cynomyz. 50° F. at to-
