Koford 1955 73 Cynomys ludovicianus March 16, 1955 Nr. Fb. Colling, Glo, burrow showed tracks , of more connecting to other hole; max. distance from burrow 3yds. Two burrows showed tracks indicating that one had come out to mound only, 4 gone back in. Apparently at least 9 animals still left in this colony. About 1 p.m., an angle flew over - first 2 hours seen close to Ft. Collins. Gtensiv mouse tracks seen in three places near dry pond. Rabbit tracks not in colony but in area around it. Took several photos of tracks in snow, 15. [illegible] = poor tracks 16. 18 Cond Sand no tracks here Dry pond Burrowed area near 26 and 15 evident tracks made yesterday too, Chrysothamnus bases definitely eaten. March 17, 1955 Nr. Wellington, Glo. About 9 a.m. visited Wellington colony. Wind about 30 mph. 4 fold (<40°F). Fawn seen out (Charlie & partner, c 2 others, one be- gard fawn in averaged area to S.). Ground about 81% snow cov- ered. At 1 p.m. visited Spring Canyon Dam colony & searched for activity. Snow soft, air about 34°F, 4 10 m.p.h. wind. Very little activity, judging by tracks. One near
