Koford 1955 Cynomys ludovicianus February 26, 1955. Nr. Ft. Collins, Colo. Watched Spring Canyon Dam colony 12-12:30. Overcast 4 occa- sionally snowflakes fell, -1°C., light by Weston with 200-300 whe much snow; calm air. Two seen out in E. group burrows for 10 min. but did not stay out (not seen to feed. Probably little activity outside burrows today - cold & overcast (storm). February 27. Visited same colony 1-2 p.m. Took 0713 in same tropes took 078 Feb. 15. Saw two put. One of these at W. side colony 50 yds. S. fence (where saw two Feb. 25), other where I saw yesterday (trap there but has not taken any. No evidence activity at burrow where 143 seen Feb. 24 or at any other trapped burrow (except two, & possibly 1 more). 15 traps still out. Sketch: 015 014 Elbert Feb. 28 2 Jan. Thus saw Feb. 24 at 8, 41 at X (no activity since). Traps 12-15 set Feb. 22; trap 7 set Feb. 24 p.m. & no activity that burrow since.
