to be cat (wild?). I found 1 coyote seat (sowed) near
Lunaron. No obvious hawk or eagle perches on rocks
(that is no discernment). Considerable amount Opuntia,
this seen on mounds but apparently not eaten in
spite scarcity greenery or foliage. (Grass under cotin
leaves not available to cattle; same may be true
of grass under bushes taken by C.L. - they remove
bushes + expose grass). No evidence cutting oak
shrubs near rocks. 35°. Took one photo from near
centre Sec. 1 facing SE. Shooting sound apparently
not major alarm. I shot one from car; walked to it
& carried it to car; then saw another out + feeding (#2)
only 100' distant. When #3 shot, another was half out
of Lunaron near line of fire & towards me - it went no
lower in hole! Lloyd Holstein, rancher & keeper of
Red Top Station, told me of C.L. in vicinity. One
group near line between Sec. 16 (owner Stark) & 21
(owner Ernest Roberts of Lunaron) bordering NE¼ of Sec. 21.
A smalls These overlap into NW¼ Sec. 22. Another
Group, smalls, on Sixmile Creek in SE corner Sec. 22
(owned Magwell). Some of these have been passed in
part. One group to Lunaron has not spread in
even years. (Lloyd will let me in to investigate these
any time). On Holstein land in Sec. 9, 2 miles SSW
of Steamboat Rocky a small group Lunaron
