(See painting) Pileus hemispherical to plane with slight umbilicus, slightly viscid, margin striate,sulcate,black on disc,lighter toward margin;flesh very thin andwhite; gills narrow,crowded, adante, altho easily breaking away from stipe;stipe white, tapering downward completely,silky,scaly, no trace of annulus, cottony, stuffed,hollow,fleshy,not cartilaginous,closely suggest- very dark Amanitopsisi, but no volva found. Since whole plant very fragile,lower end of stipe broken,and volva searched for In dense jungle near banana trail.
