Russula Pileus expanded, center depressed, 4.5 cm., moist but not viscid, disc mottled hazel and lighter shading to seashell pink margins which are deeply sulcate, striate, subrugose, margin slightly inrolled Gills white, close, adnate, of even width Stipe white, 4cm. X 8-12mm., ventricose, tapering upward abruptly. Base of stipe broken, very wormy Costa Rica, San José prov., Guayabillos, S. potrero, 2250m., 7-11-36 Dodge & Goerger
