Pileus flat,slightly depressed,over umbo pellicle se- perable, viscid, 4.5 cm. diam., vinaceous-lilac to dull Indian purple,drying dull,slightly rugose, margin not striate;iless thick, white; gills very narrow, white, close, forked only at stipe;taste mild,slightly "mouldy";stipe white, smooth,un- changing, tapering upward, 3.5 cm.# 9-11 mm.,spores white.
