Psalliot Pileus up to 5.5 cm, disc glabrous, Prout's brown, rest fibri- lose scaly expanded; gills free, pinkish very close, broad; annulus double membranes 1.5 mm broad, white tinged with brown; stipe 6-10 cm x 7 mm ending ina bulb with a flat margin (cf. Ps abruptibulba) suggestive of anevanexcent volva (especially in young specimens) silky white becoming slightly brown where handled.
