Pleurotus (Microphiale) Pileus white, slightly velvety 4 x 3.2 cm margin not crisped, even or splitting slightly, not striate; gills adnate medium close, white; stipe cespitose, several more or less connate at base, taper- ing upward 3.5 x 4-7 mm, white, slightly tomentose pubescent. Growing on underside of log in forest Specimens examined: Costa Rica: Cartago, north west slope of Cerrosde Carpintera 1680 m Dodge & Thomas 6138.
