Pholiota Fileus broadly campanulate, light yellow, 5-6 cm, disc a deep brownish orange as the powdery remains of the universal veil dis- appears becoming nearly cream color, surface silky, margin striate nearly to disc, splitting; flesh thin, white; gills yellowish, becoming grayish brown, narrow crowded, free; stipe cartilaginous hollow, splitting, powdery becoming smooth, silky, equal but tapering in the lower 2 cm to a bulbous base; annulus movable about 5 mm broad, yellowish.
