Pholiota Cortinarius Hypodendron Pileus convex, expanded, viscid, innate fibrillose scaly, 5 cm diam, russet disc shading to antimony yellow, margin fibrillose slightly inrolled, gills close, almost free, broad; flesh thin, y [illegible] except thicker on disc, yellowish stipe fleshy cartilaginous, hollow, covered with a floccose scaly thick tomentum which crushes and darkens on handling, at base uniting with soil particles to form a pseudo volva at top forming an indefinite cortinoid annulus 6.5 cm x 5 mm In mossy soil Specimens examined Costa Rica: San Jose: Rancho Redondo 2300-2400m Dodge & Thomas 5130
