Pluteus (white)
Pileus 2.5cm., broadly umbonate, flat, pellicle separable, spongy,
tomentose with tomentum aggregated in small scales, disc not
distinguishable, Hays russet when very young (pickled) becoming
carrot red or flesh color, when mature
Gills free, ventricose, white, moderately close
Stipe 4cm. x 3mm., semipellucid, white above, Hays russet below,
cortinate but no trace of ring or volva
On decaying leaves
Costa Rica, Puntarenas prov., Osa, R. Sándalo, 1-5m.
