Naucoria or purple-brown-spored analogue. Pileus hemispheric with acute, conical umbo,up to 4 cm. diamter,subreticulate on disc,striate,[illegible] with bay umbo; flesh auburn, thin, except under umbo;gills adnate, broad,snuff- brown, close, edges, white pruinose; stipe cartilaginous,hollow, striate, furfuraceous, fibrillose along lines of gills,fibrillose, floccose below, buff, darkening where handled.
