Laccaria Pileus expanded 8 cm deeply umbilicate, pinkish buff, striate sulcate to disc, margin uprolled, crenate; gills broad, distant, adnate, Etruscan red; stipe fibrous fleshy 10 cm x 1 cm above, tapering downward on earth under fallen log in darkjungle. Specimen was old and insect eaten when collected. Rancho Redondo 4/13 sec. to belong here margin splitting pinkish cinnamon margins dark Lund brown, substrate 2 cm Specimens examined: Costa Rica: Heredia, Cerro,Central de Zurqui, 1620 m, Dodge, Valerio and Thomas 6134
