densely cespidose at base of stump, 2500 m
Pileus hemispheric to convex, margins inrolled, fibrillose
scaly up to 13 cm wide, ochraceous orange blackening slightly where
bruised; flesh spongy fleshy thick apricot yellow to light cadmium
becoming dark brown slowly after wounding; gills adnate, decurrent
by a line to ring; narrow, 8-9 mm, close yellow, edges stained
ochraceous orange; stipe fleshy fibrous. 18cm x 4 cm concolor with
flesh, annulus reduced to thick scales; whole outer surface of
stipe squarrose scaly, ochraceous orange to ochraceous tawny
