Hygrophorus (Camarophyllus) (See painting) Nothing like it in Murril. Pileus campanulate, moist not viscid;flesh thin;gills thick & waxy, free or nearly so of moderate width; stipe hol- low,splitting & rolling inward,suggesting stem of Helvelloideae, white, moist, but not viscid; no trace of ring or volva. Specimens examined: Costa Rica, Cartago, Pejivalle, Alt.650-820,Dodge & Thomas 4475
