Hygrophorus (Camanophyllus) Pileus very much distorted from position of growth, surface fibrillose, watery almost tomentose, sepia, shading to cinnamon-buff on margin; gills subdistant rather thick, white, becoming warm-buff,somewhat;interveined;stipe thick, much distorted, but gills decurrent, apparently collected along with Hygrophorus of same date(Nov.LL) q.v.,probably large, distorted specimen. Specimens examined: CostaRica, San Jose, Rancho Redondo, Alt. 2250 m., Dodge & Thomas 5348
