Hygrophorus (Hygrocybe) Pileus 3.5 cm, Begonia rose, minutely fibrilloose, margin irregularly lacerate, flesh thin; gills broad, subdistant, hermosa pink, free or nearly so; stipe fragile, subcartilaginous, white above, coral pink shading to flesh ochre below, 5 cm x 5 mm with fusiform base 7 mm in diam. Leaf mould at foot of tree in the edge of the jungle Specimens examined: Costa Rica: Heredia, Cerro Central de Zurqui, 1620 m, Dodge, Valerio & Thomas 6022
