Pileus unrooled broadly conic 3cm. in diam. 1.5 cm. high disc
densely fibrillose scaly, slightly hygrophanous, tawny russet margins
gills brown adnate close narrow stipe 6cm. by lcm. ending in a flat
bulb 1.7 cm. diam. hollow fleshy fibrillos from remains of cortina
which is largely appendiculate to margin
xanthine orange, slightly xan lighter towards the margin with
5-6 sided truncated pyramidal setae (N. variegatus like);
flesh thick, watery, gills apricot yellow, broad, close, adnexed
edges lighter, pruinose, areolate, cortina present, about
the color of the gills; stipe antique brown on handling, fibrillose
scaly squamose, apricot yellow, cartilaginous hollow, 17 x 2.5 mm
