CoprinoGoprinus Pileus campanulate with heavy brwon tomentum, often ar- ranged in pyramidal warts, rubbing off, leaving smooth or prui- nose, shading from buckthorn-brown to warm -buff on the striate, thin margin; 1.5 cm. diameter 1.8 cm. tall; flesh very thin; gills crowded, nearly free; wide; margin of pileus breaking awgy from margin of bulb by elongation of stipe, which is fragile, 2 cm. long, 4 mm. diameter, white, silky. On log in potrero S. of house. Specimens examined: Costa Rica, San Jose, RAncho Redondo, Alt. 2160-2180m. Dodge & Thomas 5109
