Clitocybe Pileus deeply infundibuliform, coarsely striate sulcate to disc, anthracene purple, lighter on disc, becoming Verona brown with cinnamon buff disc, flesh tough, very thin, 6-12 cm. Gills narrow, subdistant, decurrent, light vinaceous lilac Stipe fleshy, tough, velvety, anthracene purple becoming Verona brown, 8cm. x 5-15mm. (very young) 7cm. x 9mm. (purple specimen) 4cm. x 10-12mm. (old specimen) On decaying log Costa Rica, Puntarenas prov., Osa, R. Sándalo, 1-5m. 8-24-36 Dodge & Goerger
