were impressed by the fact that they were
very few to almost no very small fish
as they have been in the past. They
seined with the 4' x 1/8" mesh seine and
dipped with the 4" aquarium dip net.
They also collected some planarians which
we carried around in 15 gals. of water all
day - they died probably after the water temp.
reached 37°C. After all planarians were
death Jim Tener noticed a yolk sac fry C. diabolus
still alive in the water. We had not previously
known that it had been collected - probably
when the water was dipped out of Devil's Hole.
It does show that reproduction has occurred
since we removed most of the fish on 1 July.
At 0630 we took light readings:
