Slight schooling of fish noted (as previously). No
free activity. Beetles dispersed. Scum present.
Left 1130 hr
Water level - 1.91 at approx. 1100 hr.
2110 - 2315 hr.
Hubbs, Miller, Deacon, James, Don Johnson,
Elena Arnold.
Returned and used dip nets again to capture as
many individuals as possible. Dip netted an
unknown number of fish - again a preponder-
ance of young. These were put into two newly
made capture-traps and left on the shelf.
Check other capture-traps and fish appeared healthy.
(These traps were placed in the lower shelf area
whereas the new ones were placed on the upper shelf.)
1 July 1967
0225 - 0400 hr. Dr. Deacon, Mrs. Miller, & I
removed another 137 individuals with dip
nets. Adults more numerous than
previously. Many very small (5-8 mm) fish
were seen and captured.
All 137 fish were placed in one of the two
capture-cages used for those captured from
2110 - 2315 (30 June).
0700 - 1000 hr. Hubbs, Miller, Deacon, James.
