were quite inactive except when disturbed. Beetle were very numerous at the water's edge and planaria were active. Scum present on the surface, shifting occasionally. Eighteen (18) fish caught by hand and placed in a sinker trap on the upper shelf. 9:00 A.M. - Returned to Devil's Hole with Drs. Carl Stubbs, Robert Miller, & James Deacon. Pulled Traps and placed fish in temporary containers (Styrofoam coolers - used whenever such containers are necessary). Traps set (0130-0900)* total of 7½ hrs. Total trap hours = 60.
