Devil's Hole, DVNM, Ash Meadows, Nye Co., Nevada. 17 May 1968 DST 1600 - 1900 hrs. C. Jones, C.W. Dry, M. Armstrong, J. Reese Traps run both at Manse & Schoolhouse. Off in outsite General Observations. Weather - clear, little wind. Scum - oily but light. Algae + Spirogyra - heavy Spirogyra especially abundant in SW portion of shelf. Algae mat still dark green 10K 3-4 Pictures taken of shelf w/ my camera. 2 w/ Exa (Brown portfolios on water meter also glasses & clock & light note.) Light completely off shelf - ~1350 hrs. 1600hrs. - Count 109* fish on upper shelf Est. 200-220 "good" sized individuals. * of these 109 counted (Remember: this does not include young or small juvenile) 30-35 are adults, which approx 20+ mm long. Majority of fish appear to be small adults. Light I = 14.4 λ = 9.2
