CJJ 68-5 0800(cont) At same time, in so. half of shelf - great deal of feeding (lunging) on rocks - no chasing *(pair chased into so. half but immediately broke up). 0805 hrs. - Light i = 13.5 n = 8.0 Water level = 1.87 Planaria active (on surface, too) Dead Moths and insects (bees) in water. 0810 hrs. - Count ~ 30 in so. half of upper shelf (very difficult to count because of scum and dark brown background) Count 24 in north half of shelf but I can only see those against light background and that is scarce. Estimate ~ 100 fish on shelf - most seem to be fairly large. (medium + large adults) but may be because of difficulty in seeing. Most fish seem to be concentrated near NE slope + entire north 1/4 of shelf. Small fish selectively caught at extreme so. end (shallowest water) 0820 - Beetle fairly active.
