At same time, in so. half of shelf -
great deal of feeding (lunging) on
rocks - no chasing *(pair chased
into so. half but immediately broke up).
0805 hrs. - Light i = 13.5
n = 8.0
Water level = 1.87
Planaria active (on surface, too)
Dead Moths and insects (bees) in water.
0810 hrs. - Count ~ 30 in so. half of upper shelf
(very difficult to count because
of scum and dark brown background)
Count 24 in north half of shelf
but I can only see those against
light background and that is scarce.
Estimate ~ 100 fish on shelf -
most seem to be fairly large.
(medium + large adults) but may
be because of difficulty in
seeing.
Most fish seem to be concentrated near
NE slope + entire north 1/4 of shelf.
Small fish selectively caught at extreme
so. end (shallowest water)
0820 - Beetle fairly active.
