Initial Observations:
Weather - Heavily clouded but not
completely overcast. Little or no wind.
General Conditions -
Still very little algae on shelf -
just green (bright, dark green)
deposit along edge (wipe off
water measurement to read). Some
wraps of algae over the light
Tan silt ("grey matte").
Scum is heavy and had to be
dispersed to observe the fish.
Scum is yellow-green in color.
0930 hrs. - Count 50 in southern half of upper
shelf. I cannot see the northern
half well at all, and can only count
20 there. Est. 130 on the upper shelf.
Activity - much active swimming.
Much play against rocks. Feeding.
Some chasing. I observed no
spawning, but I only watched
for a few (15-20) minutes.
No fish around water meter.
Fish constantly active
Light - (camera light meter) - incid 14.1, reflect - 8.5
