tied together with wire. Dimensions of this frame cage
is 2'x 4' x 2'. An inner cage of screening
material (section of which were sewn together with
nylon line to make a bag the same dimensions
as the frame cage) was attached to the inside
of the frame cage. Entire cage is open at the top.
The cage was placed on the eastern side
of the upper shelf (between the metal water
measuring device and the sloping rock at the
NE corner of the shelf. Rocks, algae, and a few"
beetle were transferred to the cage. The cage
was placed and supported so that its edges were
several inches out of the water.
