9. Dec. Spent early morning catching up records - Then went out and banded about 52 birds Completing string started yesterday afternoon. All were haysans - The area covered was the right side of the road going toward the airstrip, The airstrip inner edge facing south and the strip of grass + morning glory type vine between Scaveola running from the airstrip to behind the oil tanks. Of 38 birds banded and 10 recovered 28 birds were not on nests and were presumably non-breeders or prebreeders. Of 10 birds banded on the edge of the airstrip 7 were "loose" birds - A total of 35 out of 48
