This is the type locality of H. amjiensis & the
only known distribution. It is a marsh area
(meadow?) on almost the top of the mount.
size is about 100m x 50m. surrounded by
pine tree, bamboos & other bushes.
There are 9 small ponds (less than 1m²)
which are the breeding sites for amjiensis
Gu has a paper published on Sichuan J.
of Zool. (1999) about the pop. size. which is
about 200 breed adults.
Five specimens were collected from
the ponds, the whole area is covered by
snow (5-10 cm deep), Many egg sacs.
