Journal Moraña de Carrípe, Costa Rica 7 Sept day + we found only a single Andrio humilis. The drive to Moraña from [illegible] Turrulla is long + it was rather disappointing to find so little. Back to Turrulla in the night. Turrulla to San José Costa Rica 8 Sept. Returned to San José this morning + spent the rest of the day there. San José to La Selva, Costa Rica 9 Sept. Caught the OTS can to La Selva at 8:00 this morning + rode to La Selva, arriving ca 11:00. After Lunch we rented an OTS vehicle + drove to "Stanley's Woods" N of La Selva to look for Eleutherodactylus transforidii + Dendrobates pumilio for joint work by Catted + Kiisa Nishikiana. Found a few of each (see catthigns) + some recently transformed Aylids + [illegible] Leptodactylus. ( Falso wanted to see the area in daylight so that we could come back at night + know where we were going. This we did after Supper (7:00) + we worked around a pond / flooded forest area just off the road for a couple of hours. Found Hyla obraccata, Rana palmipes, Leptodactylus pentadactylus, Aigalephius calyhydros + hundreds of the same recently transformed Aylids we has seen during the day. Back to La Selva ca 9:30.
