1000 m camp
14 April Weather Today rain pretty much all day - sometimes torrential, sometimes light. Occasionally not raining.
15 April I essentially took the day off today. After breakfast Manuel + Federico went up to 1500m with some of our stuff + the animals we were keeping alive. Federico stayed there the night while Manuel came back ca 530PM. Chris + Craig went down to 700m with our preserved specimens + some tissue samples for the liquid nitrogen. They returned in mud-late afternoon. I stayed in camp + apart for one foray to find a trail that we could bear from camp (probably Bubo confinis). I stayed in camp + read a book.
Weather day in early morning, raining on + off steadily the rest of the day.
Tomorrow we head for 1500m.

There are several places where the trail goes under fallen trees - requiring us to crawl on our knees in the mud. Oh well, the joys of field work. We finally reached the 1500m camp about
