6 mi NE Virginia City, 6000 ft., Storey Co., Nev.
I set out 70 traps last night on sandy or
rocky soil in Pinyon, Juniper, Sagebrush
association. There are also a few Purshia
bushes scattered about. I caught the following
mammals:
1 Neotoma lepida, 18
5 Cutamias minimus, 38, 29
1 Dipodomys leucogenys, 18
3 Reithrodontomys megalotis, 18, 29
31 Peromyscus maniculatus, 188, 139
1 Peromyscus truei 18
Total = 42 traps = 70 % catch = 60

I set out 62 traps last night 2/3 of which
were set in the middle of the road. In these
traps I caught less than half my total catch
of 20 Peromyscus maniculatus and one
Dipodomys leucogenys. The other traps
set yielded one Dipodomys leucogenys,
2 Perognathus parvus and the remaining
Peromyscus maniculatus. The sex ratio was:
