Bieber, Adin, Canby, Alturus,
Cedarville, Lake City, Fort Bidwell.
He saw a Crane, Killdeer, Mt. Ploves?,
Sparrow Hawk, Red-tail, Calif. Quail,
Mourning Dove, Nite Hawk, Poor Will,
Lewis & Downey Woodpeckers, Stellar
& Calif. Jays, Eastern Kingbirds,
Robins, Bluebirds, Meadow Larks,
Red-winged & Brewer's Black Birds,
Sparrow. There is a pair of
Barn Swallows nesting in the shed
& a large no. of Chipping Sparrows
around our camp. Mr. Sam Kashkin
just shot in a couple of Sage
Hones & some Pigmy Rabbits to which
I will undoubtedly be asked to cook.

5mi. E Litchfield, 4600ft., Sassen Co., Calif.
We camped here yesterday evening. The
soil is white sand and is the dominant
plant is Artemisia Tridentata.
1/2 mi: WSW McKeown Pk, 6000 ft., Plumas Co., Calif.
We reached this camp, 1:30 this P.M.. The
dominant vegetation consists of Yellow Pine,
Juniperus occidentalis & Artemisia tridentata.
At the base of a large rocky outcrop
are Mt. Mahogany. There are also some
