Denver, Colo.
Eggs deposited in an old maple's nest, 8 feet from the ground. Nothing
unusual, except that the bird was a very close sitter, and, would not
leave the nest until I struck the side several times with a pole. Eggs
were very much incubated and one was broken in blowing. The same pair
afterwards laid another set which was taken by Mr. Collett.
