J. Rodgers. 1939 146 Itinerary, etc. April 9 Black Hawk Ranch, Tassajara Creek, Maral Creek, around the north side of Mt. Diablo, Contra Costa Co., Calif. Three Phrynoconus s. frontalis which were released in my back yard. From Black Hawk Ranch, we went to Tassajara, up Tassajara Creek (Riggs Canyon), over the bridge to the Maral Creek Road, down Maral Creek to the mouth of Curry Canyon. We hiked up the ridge between Curry and Perkins canyons to about 1750 ft. We left there about 5:40, drove around the north side of Mt Diablo back to Walnut Creek and back to Berkeley. The day was clear and warm with just enough cool breeze to make it perfect weather
