J. Rodgers 133 Colton Well, 3200 ft, Providence Mta, San Bernardin Co, Calif June 8, 1938 We broke camp here and left shortly after noon. Reptiles for the vicinity follow: 1. Callisaurus d. 2. Cnemidophorus tessulatus 3. Uta stansburiana 4. Sceloporus magister 5. Crotalus mitchellii pyrrhus 6. Salvadora - escaped 7. Saurornithus - " 8. Gopherus agassizii - not collected; sp. Mitchell's Caverna, 4500 ft, Providence Mta, San Bernardino Co, Calif June 9, 1938 Johnson, Arvey and I arrived here about 3 p.m. From here we get a large view out over the desert. To the northwest-east, other parts of the Providence Mountains with a long spur extending south across the desert to a point slightly south of east of here. It is in the tip of this spur that Colton Well is located. Barely showing above the lava capped, high, proximal half of the spur, is Table Mountain; it is almost exactly north east from here. In the distance, over the more eroded end of the spur, we can see Wild Horse Mesa north of east, scattered small hills on great expanse of desert east, and the Paynto
