Since then I have heard them every morning and evening but not near as much or apparently as many. May 13, 1938 - First Cornbirds heard on Campus. May 16, 1938 - First Cliff-sided Flycatcher on Campus. Aug. 19, 1938 - Blair, Calif. Campus, Berkeley, Calif. Calif. Yellow Warbler - occasional tryp notes, otherwise quietly hopping about in the upper foliage of bay trees sw. of Life Sciences Building. Aug. 30, 1938 Western Wood Pewee on the campus; Strawberry Creek, s. of Life Sciences Building. (see list for mix. J. L. S. B., this date) (1) W. W. Pewee, (2) Calif. yellow Warbler, (3) Anna Hummingbird, (4) Red-shafted Flicker, (5) Calif. Sept. 25, 1938 El Cerrito, Alameda Co., Calif. 8:00 p.m. I heard my first Puget Sound White-crowned Sparrow for this fall.
