About April 1, 2 and 3 the Puget Sound
White-crowned Sparrow was suddenly
heard singing much more than any time
the season. Since then I have heard
them every morning and evening but
not near as much or apparently as many.
May 13, 1938 - First Cornbirds heard on Campus.
May 16, 1938 - First Cliff-sided Flycatcher on Campus.
Aug. 19, 1938 - Blair, Calif. Campus, Berkeley, Calif.
Calif. Yellow Warbler - occasional tryp notes,
otherwise quietly hopping about in the upper foliage
of bay trees sw. of Life Sciences Building.
Aug. 30, 1938 Western Wood Pewee on the campus;
Strawberry Creek, s. of Life Sciences Building.
