March 7, 1936 This location - the north rim Strawberry Canyon and the head of the next small gulch north - with its combination of grassy hills, small Willow-lined stream, Oaks and Eucalyptus trees yielded a good bird list. In the fields and foraging on the ground: 1. Meadowlark 2. Western Robin 3. Red Shafted Flicker In the Willows and along the stream: 4. Golden-crowned Sparrow 5. Spotted Towhee. In and under the Oaks 6. Stellar Jay > 7. Junco 8. Andaman Warbler In the Eucalyptus Trees. 9. Pine Siskin Andaman Warblers.
