March 7, 1936. 4. 62 owl pellet to mammals. In the owl pellet we found bones indicating the remains) 2 Microtina, 1 Rhythrodonta, 1 Ceromysans and one large Stenopelmatine (Jerusalem Cricket). On the south facing grassy- slopes as well as on top of the hill and in the grassy slopes of the head of the next canyon we found fresh signs) workings of Atellus leecheyi leecheyi and Pocket Gopher. We found one dead ground squirrel - probably shot and heard one squeak of another. In regard to the Pocket Gophers, we found many places where they had come to the surface, frayed back 3 or 4 miles around about 270°n 300° of the left and in many places plugged it hole up again.
