February 8, 1936 19. diving in water only a few (up to 10) feet deep and did much of their feeding on the muddy shores. The Mallards and Pintails were also seen eating here. The Brewer Blackbirds fed on the open lawn as well as on the shore. Brown Towhees fed on the lawn near the shrub areas. Spotted Towhees and Long Sparrows in the shrub areas. A Ruby-crowned Kinglet was seen foraging thru the deciduous trees. Pigeons & English Sparrows spend much of their time on the buildings but fed along the shore.
