Specimens sent in by Stewart Springer. He
was in about 6 weeks ago. I showed him a
specimen that I could not identify, but that
I thought might be Hyla squirella. He thought
it was probably Hyla femoralis, and
promised to send me some for comparison.
Specimens from our collection labeled Hyla
femoralis, he thought were either Acris,
Pseudacris. The Hyla in question (Acc. no.
5952 - cat. no. 29394) proved, on comparison
with those to be Hyla femoralis as
Springer suggested.
