J. Rodgers Mna Vert. Zool, Berkeley, Calif. July 14, 1938 Acc. no. 5582 Oakland, Alameda Co., Calif. probably July 12, 1938 1404 hummingbird brought in by Ernestal Dyer. He found it under a nest about 30 days ago and kept it in captivity until it died. He estimates it to be about 30 days old. July 26, 1938 Acc. no. 5592 1405 snakes and lizards obtained from Klauber by trade. Specimen from Providence Mountains was traded. July 29, 1938 Acc. no. 5591 1406 8 Scaphiopus hammondii from near (s.g) Mono Lake, on the east side of the Sierra Nevada. Hot Creek, about 7000 ft, Mono Co., Calif. collected by H. John Raynor. These specimens were brought to MVZ by J.D. Storer on July 22, 1938, during the annual meeting of the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists. He left 16 specimens (alive) and asked that Tanner, of Utah,- also present - be given half of them. Tanner did not call for his.
