14 July Mexico: Sinaloa: 9 mi. N Mazatlan
Zweifel has decided to change elevation of camp
from 600 ft to 1000 ft. Entire day spent in
putting up poorly captured animals. In
evening a visit to pool where Zweifel
reported daytime breeding yesterday produced
a single Scaphiopus at the pond margin.
However, [illegible] 5 Diaglena, 5 Acrodytes, 4 Eunilica
all taken in trees near pond. One
Hypopachus from wet stream bottom currently
without water. During afternoon Jerry
caught a Ctenosaura and a leptophis.
Previous day heavy rains during night
and morning. Heavy rain during this
morning.
15 July Mexico: Sinaloa: 9 mi. N Mazatlan
Drove into Mazatlan for supplies and
short swim at beach. Callisaurus
draconoides taken on beach dunes. Road
driving N of camp in evening produced
1 Trimeropodon, 3 Rhinodactylus, 3 Egalychinis,
2 B. horridilis
16 July Night road driving again over a slightly
shorter course produced a similar taken
as last night with the addition of a large
Comproptis doliate and 2 Piturophius californicus.
17 July Camp broken during morning and entire
day spent at beach and town of Mazatlan.
